Dear family of God,

The Lord bless you for coming to Heartstrings. We need each other for encouragement while the world goes crazy don't we? I hope and pray you find a few moments here for just that reason. Here is a Bridal song that the Lord gave me.

"We have become His precious Bride. We have been called His chosen. As we humbly give our hearts to Him, singing, "Holy is the Lamb. Holy is the Lamb.

We have beheld His mighty works. We have received His blessing. As we kneel before His glorious throne singing, "Holy is the Lamb, Holy is the Lamb.

"Holy, Holy is the Lamb. Holy, Holy is His name. We cry "Holy" as we worship the King singing,"Holy is the Lamb, Holy is the Lamb!"

How do we constantly abide in the Lord? First I ask Holy Spirit to remind me throughout my day and then when He does, I get to take time to speak His name and declare He is Worthy. Without the Spirit of the Lord, I tend to get sidetracked and my focus is changed to things of the world or my imagination takes control.

Has there ever been a time in the pages of our story that we don't need His presence? You know how the enemy works. He will do his best to convince us that time with our Bible and prayer is a complete waste. He is a liar.

Today, I got to go to the library. It has been quite some time. While checking out my book a young boy came in asking if anyone had seen his skateboard. He looked like he could cry. When I went outside there he was leaning against the brick wall of the library, dejected and so sad. I went over and talked to him and told him I would pray that God would help him find his skateboard. I was going to turn away but instead stood there and prayed that simple prayer. The boy looked at me with wide eyes and his mouth open. I told him, "I believe God will help you." Then I turned to go, trusting God to hear my prayer.

Now, that was an unexpected appointment to let my light shine. I don't know if the boy knew God but, I do know he would never forget our interaction this day. I know I was able to make a difference! Lord, You see him. Save him and make him all Yours.

When we are abiding in Jesus and His Word abides in us as talked about in John 15, we will bear fruit. It is all there, read it!The Lord wants our joy to be full! And, I got to experience it only an hour ago. To give hope to that young man points to the Love of God.

In verse 7 Jesus said, "If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you."

This word remain has come to mean so much to me lately. In this upside down thinking world we live in, there is little hope unless, we shine the Light of God's Love. That young man, I believe, will find his skateboard and he will remember the prayer I prayed right there in a public place, for him.

You might think I am nuts to imagine that a thing like this is important. As far as the stuff and things, they aren't really. But, the interaction; the step of faith does. I won't play guessing games anymore. When the Holy Spirit prompts me to speak God's name, I will obey and trust the outcome to be exactly as God wills.

This may be a small incident. But, someday, there may come a time for greater faith than I have today.

The thing is, as the Bride of Christ, each of us need to be operating in the power of Jesus name daily, as though it was the most important day of our lives. We make a difference in the moments of others lives, one seed at a time.

Most important is to learn to abide in Christ! We, at least I have, wasted too much time trying or waiting to fit into what the church says we should be doing or looking like. Alright, now let's get down to it!

I want to tell you what happened before the library time. I woke heavy hearted. It only got worse and I was in tears and had no idea why. I felt like I was on the edge of a panic attack, which I don't have anymore. I sought out my daughter in law and tried to explain to her. She quietly came over, wrapped her arms around me and prayed. Her sweet voice, I could hardly hear, but the power of her prayer, God heard. Within minutes the pit I felt I was falling into was no more! Praise the Lord!

This is what living moment to moment looks like. I asked Jesus to hold my hand when I woke this morning. From where I am sitting now, I see that He has! And the day is only half over!

Oh, I pray you understand what I am saying. I hope with all my heart that you sense the power of God's Word at work in your life story. In all of this, to know that you are treasured and held in His capable hands no matter what the situation appears to be.

Abide in HIm and let His Word abide in you! God bless you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Abundance is...because Jesus loves me
