Dear family of God,

Welcome to Friday Heartstings! I am so glad you could stop by. I pray that you are blessed as together we journey closer to the heart of God, our Father.

We have many reasons to praise Jesus, our Lord and soon coming King. From the beginning of our day until we fall asleep at night, blessings attend our way. Our greatest, Jesus Christ!

The last couple of days I have been hanging out in John 14. It is so alive to me! Truly the Living Word of God. My circumstances may not have changed but my response to them has. My perspective is so different now as I view this world and all its troubles.

So, I want to share a few scriptures that I have underlined in my Bible from John 14. Please read the whole chapter in your quiet time. I know the Holy Spirit will move on your heart in that still part of your day. What a sweet place to be.

Right away the very first verse of John 14 grabs my attention. It is the strong foundation every word following. Verses 1-4. Jesus help us to apply this to our lives now.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated), You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. In My Father's house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when I go and make a ready place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And [to the place] where I am going, you know the way."

Do you know the way? Jesus tell Thomas, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by Me."

Jesus calls us to obey His commandments and then tells His disciples about the Holy Spirit to come. The Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby! All wrapped up in Jesus and given to you and I! Think about these words. All of them personal and just what we need.

However, the world doesn't welcome Him and take Him into its heart. Simply because it cannot see or know Him and recognize HIm. But we do, for He lives with us constantly and will be with us always!

If you ever have felt lonely, wounded, or at a loss, then you know that intimate fellowship with the Spirit of the Lord as your comforter and helper, don't you? When it seems all others are against you, He is your Advocate! He is for such a time as this.

So, not only is Holy Spirit standing with you, you are sealed in HIm and He dwells constantly in you. He represents Jesus and acts on His behalf. He will teach us all things. And, cause us to recall to our mind everything that Jesus told us. Praise the Lord! I have experienced the Holy Spirit as each of those words are described in verses 16 &26.

The world cries out for Peace, Peace. The only place to find it is in Jesus Christ. Verse 27 says, "Peace I leave with you, My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]"

This is what we read in the first part of the chapter! Jesus obviously knew we would need a repeat. In the last two verses of this chapter Jesus is saying the prince of evil is coming. But, since he has no claim on Jesus to rule over Him, the prince of evil has no power or rule over our lives either.

Jesus wants you and I to know that only in HIm will we find the kind of peace that passes all understanding. He will place a guard over our hearts and our minds so we can endure the trials. And, there are so many right now building one upon another aren't there?

My heart goes out to you today as I look and see the many places around this world where people are coming to share Heartstrings with us. Let's remember to pray for one another, not just for our own concerns.

WE need to be sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and ones who have been playing Christian games all their lives. I remember this in myself. I praise the Lord today for setting me free from a religious spirit. Now, I know Him. Then, I didn't.
This is the time. Not much left of that, I'm afraid. I hope you seek the Lord while He may be found.

Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit and is preparing us to meet Him someday soon. Then, He was speaking to His disciples while on His way to the cross. Now, He speaks to us, His Beloved, as He prepares a place for us to live eternally in Heaven. I hear it is a wonderful place! I long to be there. What do you long for? Peace? Come to Jesus and be forgiven of all sin. Be filled with His Spirit! It is all free and paid for. Our freedom is found in Him.

God bless you, each one, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Abundance is...resting in His Peace
