 Dear brothers and sisters,

Welcome to another Heartstrings moment where I get to share my journey with you. I do pray that you are able to glean what the Spirit is speaking to your own heart and apply the Word of Truth to every step.

As I mentioned last time we met, I am going to take a path of renewal and find out about the Love of God in a deeper way. To really believe, regardless of my circumstances, that His Love alone is my desire and pursuit.

Above all others. Can you say that? Is that what you want? The world is in a dangerous, apathetic, immoral state without God. When someone discovers how much they are loved I think they will only want more! A good thing.

How will they know unless someone show them? It is found in the Word of God, spoken in faith by us, His followers. Read this in Romans chapter 10. In 2 Timothy 4:2-3 we are called to have a sense of urgency. Stand by and be ready to convince them; urging and encourageing them.

"For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold."

The list goes on and on. What I want to do tonight is bring my focus back to the source of my faith and grow from there. I want, need, to believe God loves me from personal experience and not rely on others words or lifestyle to be the convincer. Will we allow the world to set a warped standard or will we humble ourselves before the Only True God?

I'm asking myself...is there anyone I love or desire more than God, His Son, or His Spirit? Do I love the present world more than I love the eternal things that belong to God? Where do I set my affections? Romans 12:2. On the temporal or the eternal?

It is by faith in God. Read Colosians 3:2 and 2 Corinthians 4:18. Please don't overlook this. Take your Bible in hand and turn those pages! There is no better place to really know what God thinks about you, His treasure, than in the Word of God.

Deuteronomy 6:5 says, "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might."

Is anything or anyone taking the place that God desires to make you a part of? How many times when I was younger did I pursue someone to love me? Always looking for just the right time and place to find gratification. All because I didn't know my worth. Countless.

When I was thinking about this today, I realized the waste of my life in those pursuits. Even recently when I thought my value came from gaining respect from others of my family. Instead of being the person I was called by God to be, I was trying to be in control of what others thought about me. I somehow believed I needed their assurances. I should have gone to God first. To trust His thoughts toward me...Psalm 139.

With the Lord I have never been disappointed! I have always, when I take the time to be still in His presence, known I am His precious treasure. Why look elsewhere?

No more If Onlys. No more I should've. No more regret when I come to the feet of Jesus and repent for my sins and blind eye to what He wants to show me everyday. Thank you Holy Spirit for leading me to this place today.

For contentment, a life changing and transformed mind, come to the Father right now. Cast all your cares on Him. Then from the time you get up and take that first look in the mirror thank God for loving you. Never let your appearance be a weapon of the enemy to play games with, but allow your appearance to be one of worship. You will never look better than when you truly believe God loves you!

Pursue this love of God and you will find all the love your heart yearns for. Let God's Words be first in your own minds and hearts. Then, you will be able to witness God's love to your children. Your family will want what you have! Spread the Good News of the Gospel. Keep it alive and fresh in your own heart from the time you get up in the morning into the night. Put on a garment of praise!

God bless you and keep you so that you may do what is pleasing to the Lord First and always. He is with you as you serve Him. Reverently worship the One Who Made You and Loves You Completely. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

Abundance is...seeking you will find
