Good afternoon!

When we met Saturday I shared with you Psalm 19:1, "The Heavens declare the glory of God..." Today we got to see a marvelous work of God in the sky. In America many people traveled a great distance to experience this eclipse. Living in Montana gave us a partial view. But, the air grew still, the birds quit singing and eating at the feeder, even the dogs layed down to sleep as everything grew darker and cooler.  Funny how everything seemed to bow as darkness shadowed the land. When it was over, the birds came back, along with the temperatures rising and the dogs started barking. Maybe they were complaining because their nap was too short!

The whole thing with the strange changes had me in awe of God. Tears fell easily down my cheeks and all I could do was whisper thanksgiving for my Salvation. Another day when darkness filled the sky; when my Savior was crucified that I might be saved.  My spirit is alert as this is time when our hearts should be turning to God in repentance. Every knee will bow. Selah, pause and think about this.

Romans 14:11 says, "For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise]." I wonder how many people were actually thinking about Father God during this marvelous display of His power? Were any lives changed? Did anyone offer the Gospel to those standing nearby? I hope so. Were spiritual blind eyes opened or were they left in spiritual darkness?

Philippians 2:9-11..."Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."  Praise the Lord Most High!

Psalm 95:6-7 calls us..."O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and supplication]. For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts..." Are you kneeling before The King? Has He got your attention now?

There is a cry going out in our world. Even those who call themselves believers yet have been slack in their worship of God cry out for Truth and Love. Instead, obediance is a thing for the other guy and God's grace is taken advantage of. Churches are dying on the vine. Only those poured out and faithful are producing fruit for His Kingdom. Time only goes forward. We can't look at the past and how wonderful things were in the Jesus Peoples movement or even further back when tents held meetings that spoke the truth with hellfire and brimstone warnings. What does your future look like today?

I am reminded of 2 Chronicles 7:14 where God is calling His people to look at Him and quit sinning while all along saying they believe. How dare we think we can hide from God! Today God is listening for our voices to call out while there is still time. Talking to His people, you and I. "If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land." We have to take the steps toward healing.

Without taking too much more of your time I leave you with this. Lifting up my own heart too. Forgive us Lord Jesus for neglecting this wonderful gift of salvation. Forgive us for blaming others for our sins and not checking our own hearts at the door. Annoint us with fresh oil from Your throne to serve you. Ignite Holy Spirit fire and keep the embers burning in our witness. Make us like You dear Lord. In Jesus Holy Name, amen.

Abundance is...when we enter His courts
