 Dear brothers and sisters,

In Christ, In Christ, In Christ. I just keep hearing this over and over in my mind today. It doesn't matter what we said yesterday, thought about, acted upon. Today, I choose to stand, live, move and breathe...In Christ. He is the banner that waves over my head. I am His beloved and He is mine! Are you with me?

Psalm 143:8-9 says, "Let me hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for I trust in Thee; teach me the way in which I should walk; for to Thee I lift up my soul. Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in Thee."

Yes, I am going to share another song. Bet you didn't see that coming! HaHaHa! The title is, "Love Lifted Me." An oldie that I learned as a young girl. How young? Well, younger than I am today. It was written in 1912 by James Rowe and hammering out the keys, with arthritic hands, was his friend Howard E. Smith. They created this together. My point being...together, in Christ I will stand firm.

"I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore, very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more. But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry, from the waters lifted me now safe am I. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me; Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help Love Lifted me!"

When will we learn to invite the Master of the sea into our boat? Instead we play the blame game, which the enemy knows right away when to make his move. Everything that has happened in my life is now called "Yesterday." Some of those things were not good in any respect. But, as a young girl I invited Jesus into my heart and today I know, when the past comes up, that He was with me and helped me through the hard stuff.

Some people are stuck. Really stuck and you can hear it in the tone of their voices. Even on facebook the things their hearts meditate on show up clearly. If your witness is weak, a thing of the past when you first met Jesus but now, hardly a spark glows, then you are stuck.

By the words of this song, it is the Love of Christ that lifts us up out of that sink hole, pit, dark closet. What I like about this song is another two verses which say..."All my heart to Him I give; ever to Him I'll cling, in His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing. Love so mighty and so true merits my soul's best songs; faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, love lifted me...

"Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves. He will lift you by His love out of the angry waves. He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey. He your Savior wants to be, be saved today. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help LOVE LIFTED ME! " And there you have it! A way out and peace in His strong arms.

Why should we take refuge in the words that hurt us? Or, what about being in a difficult situation, yet always allowing this to dictate the steps we take, today. Our thinking process is unstable, warped by unforgiveness and self-pity. When will we give Him all our hearts and cling to Him? It is in His presence that we find hope and faith for our future. Jesus Christ is our future!

Today, I unfriended some people on my long facebook list. I spent too much time getting wrapped up in dramas that really weren't a cry for help, but a very long dialogue of discontent. Something that the Lord is doing in me; a refining work where I need to hold the time I am given as sacred. I had to ask myself, "is this what I want in my boat?" I keep coming up with the reply from what I believe is the Holy Spirit in me, "No."

Praise the Lord for Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Can you say AMEN? We choose to listen to the blaming words of the enemy or the life giving words of God's Spirit. If the past isn't past then, without condemnation, we can step into our future IN CHRIST JESUS. I don' how else to say this. I do know that today I am reminding that old enemy, that liar; Who I belong to!

Press into the Lord, the Master of the sea. Throw out the weighty things of your past and allow Jesus to open up the sails and set you on a totally new path. This journey is exciting and joyful as we place our trust in Him. So, I ask again. Who is the Master of your great adventure?

You are in my thoughts and prayers today. Listen to His voice as He expresses His Love in your ears. Let His Love Lift you! God bless you till we meet again in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Abundance is...Love lifts the heart
